Blue Hair and Fergie
Buenas!! Can't believe its already pday! That's crazy this week has actually flown! But to start off with the title haha, we met this mom and her daughter and they actually seemed really interested! Except we couldn't remember their names, except the mom had blue hair and the daughters name sounded like Fergie to us gringas sooo we just started calling them blue hair and Fergie haha! Also to make matters worse we met these three sisters and they had some crazy names! So when we first created them in our app we put their names as "old", mid", and "young" hahah! Later found out their names are Raiza, Raicielis, and yarkis, so you cant blame us haha!
Anyway more onto the week! We had a crazy miracle and a member who is super new to the ward texted us saying that her husband isn't a member but wants to take the lessons! SCORE! then she asked if we could come over at 8am because of his work... we usually dont leave the house until 11am so after talking with our zone leaders and president we got permission to go! So the next morning we went and taught him and he pretty much already knows everything because she is a super active member! So we were able to set a baptism date with him for september 6! He's so ready and we're so excited!! Que milagro!
️was going to go up and start talking to this guy until I realized he was peeing on the side of the road!
️"es hombre o mujer?" Little girl asked if this gay guy was a man or women haha
️blue haired girl was a in a towel the whole time we taught her hahah, and surprisingly not the first time I've done that
️plotting how to kill the dogs that keep barking at 5am
️later plotting how to kill our neighbors who started blasting music right at 10:30pm (our bedtime)
️later night empanada and salchipapa deliveries
️one of our friends dropped some major chisme (gossip) hahah and he was asking for advice
️some inactive member told us that gringas always smell good??
️family called us over and they were absolutely wasted so on our schedule we put "drunk family" we were really bad with names this week ahah
️random reference texted us wanting to marry one of us
️had a dream I was called to be a missionary in space and i think I found my new dream mission haha
️made patacones and they were delicious!!
️peanut butter duros
Also the big news of the week was that Shery and Iglenia got BAPTIZED!! you guys these guys literally fell into our hands when their dad/husband, who was baptized when he was young, waved us down to their house! We have only been teaching them for 2.5 weeks but they were so so ready and so so excited! Their baptisms were so cutie and it was such a great experience to have a baptism that was 100% from us! We found, taught, and got them baptized so it was awesome to see the whole progress! They're so excited to be a part of the ward and the daughter already has so many friends in the ward! Loved Sunday so much!
Anyway, other than that nothing too exciting happened so heres some highlights!

Spiritual thought!
I listened to the talk "Let His radiance shine through you" from the Byu women's conference and something that I loved is when she said "faith isn't faith until its tried".
I think a lot of times we think that we need to have faith based on all of the good things that have happened in our lives, and our faith can grow because of good things. But in reality it is not true faith until we have to put it to use. Faith is something that we all need, but we don't really have it until we go through something hard and only are able to rely on that, there's nothing else, just our faith in God and Jesus Christ. That is when we get true faith. So when we go through something hard, use your faith, rely on Him, your faith will grow, and it will become true faith.
