"very good super wow"

Holaa mis amigos! This week was so so so good! We were super busy and we met so many cool people! Soo much better than last week, and also thank you so much to everyone that emailed me, yall are angels the title is because people here try to learn english from google so one of our recent converts kept saying this during our lesson but with the accent it was so funny

TRANSFER NEWS

Its transfers this week and we got the news last night about 15 minutes before we go to sleep so it was a stressful night hahah. BUT I'm staying in my area, the blessed praderas b but I'm getting a new comp hermana beutler!!! I met her at zone conf last week and she's the best so im so excited but she's only one transfer ahead of me so pray our combined spanish can pull through for the people here

Anyway ive got some good stories so feel free to skip to the highlights!!

Ok last sunday we met this mom and daughter but they're both older and we taught them and they seem super interested so we were like bet and go back on tuesday, but on tuesday the daughters partner/baby daddy/ they live together was there and he had SO many questions. Bro loves the bible so so much but not so much organized religion. We taught about the restoration so of course that brought up a bunch of questions and he always wanted a bible a verse to back up what we were saying so shoutout to the best seminary teachers (my mom and michelle of course) and The Chosen for helping us out! Anyway they're absolutely awesome and I love when people have questions for us! Anyway we went back a few days later and the uncle was there (who was baptized in his teens but isn't super active SCORE) and we taught the whole fam again and answered more questions and really just testified that the book of mormon is the true word of God and that the only way for him to gain knowledge and understanding is if he reads it prays, honestly such a good lesson. They said they were going to come to church but then they didn't which was sad, but when we visited with them sunday afternoon jeffreson(the dude with the questions) said he was up getting ready for church but no one else was up but that next week he is going to make sure everyone is up these guys are so so chosen and I know they will get baptized. Both me and my comp can see them so easily becoming super strong members! So everyone pray that jeffreson and caro will read the book of mormon!

Also last sunday we were going out contacting and right before we left we looked at our map and decided to pray about where to go buenas and after the prayer me and hna Gosain both pointed to the same area so of course we went! And let me tell ya God is so so good because we were able to find miguel! Miguel was taught by the missionaries in his teens and went to church but when those elders got transferred he pretty much stopped going. But he said he wants to meet with us and we set up a time for saturday to meet with him and his wife! Well then saturday got really busy and we werent able to make it over to them because we got super behind and so we went over on sunday and they said they were waiting for us on saturday and that broke my heart. They let us teach and it was a super super good lesson and they said they're coming to church next week and they gave us duros that they sell completely for free (duros are like homemade otter pops that you bite the corner of the bag off and eat in the road) anyway he is such a good reminder to me that even if our friends stop progressing and we stop teaching them, we truly are planting seeds and one day they'll be back with a stronger desire to learn!

highlights

️one direction blasting from a house as we walked past (brought me sooo much joy)

️got to go to the city on wednesday and get legal! Except they stretched all of our faces out so we look a little scary (see the album)

️held a conversation with a taxi driver all by myself

️got to eat ice cream for lunch! (Our power was out the whole time and it was the only thing we didnt have to cook lol)

️last pday we played ultimate frisbee on some tiny backroad in the rain and it was so cinematic, felt like the secret life of walter mitty

️getting to scream teach because the rain was so loud and everyone has tin roofs

️got rejected 6 times to use the baño and then finally the house that let us in had no tp or water sooo

️had intercambios again and got to lead my area and felt super confident in my spanish that day!

️had to lead the music in church and had to pull out all my young womens knowledge of how to lead haha

spiritual thought

Ok this week I have been thinking a lot about prayer. Last week was so hard and I don't think I have ever prayed harder, and this week was so much better. It's not that the work got any easier or we all the sudden had great numbers, but my attitude changed, my desires were much more focused on the people, and I know that was an answer to my prayers. Then this week i was reading in alma and came across this verse, alma 24:16

" And now, my brethren, if our brethren seek to destroy us, behold, we will hide away our swords, yea, even we will bury them deep in the earth, that they may be kept bright, as a testimony that we have never used them, at the last day; and if our brethren destroy us, behold, we shall go to our God and shall be saved."

I loved the last part of that verse, even if the people get destroyed they will be at peace because they know they're going to live with God. We need to have the faith to not be ok, the faith to not get an answer to our prayers, the faith to keep going and keep believing whatever the outcome. I know this is so true, and that kind of faith is the only faith that can truly comfort us. So have the faith to be not be ok.
