2 drunkards and an abuela

Welcome back party people!! Super short week because of the pday change last week so dont worry I'll try and keep this one short!

Starting off with some MIRACLES!! these past few weeks we have been trying to find a lot of people through part member families and you guys it has worked SO WELL! Last sunday we went and visited one and the dad was baptized when he was young but hasnt been to church in a while. Anyway we taught his wife and 14 year old daughter about baptisms and they both said they wanted to be baptized! They literally asked if they could be baptized tomorrow haha. So we set a date with them both for the 23 of August! We then have been over there and taught them about chastity and MIRACLE #1 they're married!!! YAYAYA then we decided lets go all in and taught about the word of wisdom! The mom drinks coffee but she said she would stop. Then when we texted her the next day to see how it was going she told us she hasnt been drinking it MIRACLE #2! then we asked about their work schedule and literally the only day off she has is sundays MIRACLE #3 then we explained that they needed to come to church twice before baptism and they came to church on sunday MIRACLE #4 Guys they're so awesome so pray that they can get baptized next sunday 🙏

Also big miracle of the week! We went and talked with our family that came to church about baptism and if its something they want to do. They all said they are interested YAYAYAY!!! We talked to them about getting married and coffee and that is going to take some time to work with but he said he has been reading the book of mormon! I was scared that after talking about the need to get married and stop drinking coffee they werent going to want to get baptized but then I asked Jefferson to say the closing prayer and he literally said "please help us to continue to learn so we can be baptized. And please help us to get married so we can be baptized" queue the tears🥹 guys i love them so so much, they're my family here and I cant wait to keep working with them!

One last quick story! We were in the part of our area saturday night and we have been struggling to find people there so we decided to hit up some good trusty sos dots (inactive members). We met this family and it was a mom and her 4 kids, one of the kids when he saw us whispered something in his moms ear and she turns to him and says "yes you can be baptized" I'm sorry what?? Did i hear that correctly?? Literally doing our job for us! Anyway he is recently turned 8 and his older siblings are baptized and the daughter goes to church! So we taught him and put a date for the 30 of August! Lets goooo!!! He was cheesin the whole time and was so excited! They couldnt come to church this week but next week they'll be there! AHHH THE WORK IS SO GOOD!!

highlights!
✨️found out someone was stabbed 6 times on my street ! Pray for me

✨️finally found a part of our area that looks like actually panama lol, not just roads!
✨️went and taught a lady again and she told us she has wondered which church is true! And then told us that after our last lesson she could feel a lot of peace and calm 🥹
✨️ "thats something i miss about home... skinless meat" - me when someone fed us a whole fish

Spiritual Thought!
Before church I was reading in Alma about the stripling warriors! Guys this story is actually peak, but I read alma 57:25 which says

25 And it came to pass that there were two hundred, out of my two thousand and sixty, who had fainted because of the loss of blood; nevertheless, according to the goodness of God, and to our great astonishment, and also the joy of our whole army, there was not one soul of them who did perish; yea, and neither was there one soul among them who had not received many wounds.

You guys this verse was exactly what I needed after a hard week last week. Not a single one of them died, but also not a single one of them came out without a wound. Because of the goodness of God all of them were spared. We are going to get wounded through our trials, and God wont save us from a little hurt, but because of His goodness we will be saved. Trust God in your challenges and trust that even if its hard with some wounds, His goodness is there to save you!

Love you all!
