The Curse of the CCM
Hola Hola! It feels a little surreal to be writing my second email and this week has literally flown by, but honestly Im so grateful for it. So to explain the subject, im pretty sure I got food poisoning last night and was up three times throughout the night hahah, so it was an eventful day. And today were going to the temple so pray for me
So if you remember from last week, I was in a district of all sisters because one of our elders got sick and couldn't come to Mexico, so our other elder got transferred out. BUT we got news last Wednesday that Elder Mitchell was better and was going to be coming to the CCM on Thursday! So that means that both of our elders were officially back in our district on Thursday! Because we were in a solo hermana district my comp was the district leader, a position that an Elder will usually have, so since they came back we assumed that one of them would become district leader. But apparently my comp is just too good so they want to keep her as DL, and are waiting on approval from church headquarters lol, so it will be interesting to see what they say!
On Saturday we started solo espanol, which means that now both of our classes are spanish classes and they are taught in all spanish! And were supposed to talk only in spanish outside of class but were not doing too great with that. Lets just say that I was much more excited to make my cute "solo es" tags for my tag than actually do solo espanol hahah. But honestly i feel pretty good and understand most of what is being said in class, but its definitely a learning curve and i need my teachers to talk realllyyyy slow
So last Sunday I was saved from giving a talk but this Sunday I was not as lucky. Not only did I have to give a talk in Spanish, but me and my comp and another set were assigned to teach the second hour lesson, yes in Spanish hahah. Our branch just got 12 new latinos so they were definitely carrying the class lol, but I felt good and my branch president said that my pronunciation or my talk was very good so that was awesome!
I thought I have been escaping the notorious CCM illness but it finally caught up with me last night and I got to have the lovely experience of climbing down my top bunk at 2am to throw up in toilets that hardly flush, so that was a fun one!

Spiritual thought!
This week we have been doing a ton of studying and had a lot devotionals about the atonement of Jesus Christ. One of my favorite things I've heard this week is "Satan knows you and calls you by your sin, but Jesus knows you and calls you by your name" and this really hit me because it is so incredible the amount of forgiveness we get. We did nothing to deserve the mercy and grace are given by God and Jesus Christ, but we have it, and its not going anywhere, so we need to use it. It really is incredible what happens when you turn your life over to God, and do what He would have you do. Ive only been a missionary for a short time but I can feel of its power and I know Jesus is eager to help when we turn to Him.
